Crucial Buying Tip: "With Chip" vs "No Chip"
HP 207A cartridges use highly restrictive firmware security. Compatible ACO 207A cartridges are commonly sold in two formats:
With Chip (Plug-and-Play): Includes a pre-installed third-party microchip. It works immediately but might display a "Non-Genuine Cartridge" warning which you can simply bypass.
No Chip (DIY): Significantly less expensive, but requires you to physically remove the original chip from your old empty HP cartridge using tools and slide it into the new ACO cartridge. The printer will work but will continuously report the toner level as "Empty".
